Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 Rotary clubs located in 200 countries and geographical areas. Members of The Starratt Team belong to both the Canmore Rotary Club and the Rotary Club of Calgary Crowchild. In addition, Mark was honored to be District Governor – Southern Alberta for the 2008/09 year. |

The Canadian Neuromuscular Disease Registry (CNDR) is a Canada-wide registry of people diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease. It collects important medical information from patients across the country to improve the understanding of neuromuscular disease and accelerate the development of new therapies. The term neuromuscular disease (NMD) refers to over 40 different conditions that affect how muscles and nerves work. These diseases are both rare and complex, and affect many people of all ages around the world. Finding treatments for these diseases has been challenging but recent medical and technological advances are changing that. New techniques and tools allow doctors and researchers to look at medical data from large groups of patients. This helps them find better ways to manage each disease and to develop new therapies. |

Together, we share a dream of meaningful family life and community inclusion for individuals with developmental disabilities. As an advocacy organization we support families and individuals in their desire to be fully included in community life. |
